Our founder is the Amsterdam-based multitalented Sela Graaven. She is an impact driven professional, with experience in community- and partnership management, and public administration. In her free time she likes to eat out, travel, enjoy time with friends and family, or let's be realistic think about new business plans and concepts.

WSM stands for Womenselfmade, the name of the community Sela started to empower women of color and create more representation of the realistic rolemodels she missed while growing up. She wanted to know that she could be a politician, entrepreneur or a leader. Sela built her community with so much joy, and along the way learned many new skills. On her social entrepreneurship journey she met so many talented female creatives like herself. Creative and innovative women ready to make an impact and change the narrative about what women can or should do. She also met businesses who are dedicated to bettering themselves and creating safe and supportive environments for marginalized communities to thrive in. She found that both businesses and ambitious (young) women could use a hand in finding each other. That's why Sela started WSM agency, an agency that represents, coaches and connects talented female creatives with eager businesses.

The growth and pride she had while on this crazy journey called entrepreneurship brought Sela much, she hopes other female creatives can experience that too. That’s why she’s dedicated to supporting them in the best way possible.
